The Faces of KU campaign evolved out of a casting call of students.The digital media team came away with so much good content we were able to repurpose it when KU Office of Admissions wanted something to remind prospective students to pay their enrollment deposits. Typical enrollment deposits reminder mailers have been very dry and technical, focusing on the deadline. We wanted something more emotionally driven, touching on the idea that there is a community here of unique individuals and you don’t want to miss out on your opportunity to be a part of it.
We ended up with a freshman booklet, a transfer booklet, two emails, a video, and an AIGA A11 Award.
We wanted to focus on the personalities of the many different people who call themselves Jayhawks. Bold type was used to highlight short, personal quotes from each student. The bright colors enforce the idea of character that comes across in the photography.
